Our Commitment
Alberta Lamb Producers together with industry stakeholders will foster a renewed enthusiasm, pride and energy to nurture the growth and prosperity of the sheep industry in Alberta and in Canada.
These are exciting times for the Alberta Sheep industry.
Consumer demand is rising steadily, as people discover the mild flavour and tender texture of lamb, and Alberta lamb in particular. Canadian lamb currently fills only 50% of the current market, despite the fact that restaurants and retailers alike are keen to serve local product.
Alberta Lamb Producers’ mission is to ensure that all Alberta sheep producers have the information, training and resources necessary to take full advantage of this enormous growth and potential.
You will find this website packed with information and guidance, whether you are an established or a prospective sheep producer. If you are looking for specific information, please visit our site map which will help you to find exactly what you seek.
Coming soon – updated strategic plan to focus on building a sustainable thriving industry for sheep producers.

Industry Clothing
At the Alberta Sheep Symposium, a microfleece vest and a pique polo golf shirt were introduced with an embroidered Alberta Lamb Producers logo. This good quality clothing identifies you as a proud sheep producer, part of a progressive industry (and would make great gifts). It looks great on these items which come in mens and ladies fit; in a range of sizes and colours.
(We find the ladies vests are a little snug, so consider ordering a size larger than usual).
An order form with all the details is available here or from the office. Print and fax it now, follow it up with your cheque.
